Tee Times Booked

Tee times for the tournament have been booked:

Sat, Sept 1, Christina Lake: 10:24 - 11:15
Sun, Sept 2, Birchbank: 10:00 - 10:45

I still have to book tee times for the Friday practice round, but I need to know when you guys want to play. Just leave a comment here, or email the mailing list: borderbattle@googlegroups.com.

Women's Mini Tournament?

Tom had this question:

"There has been a question come up regarding does the Battle at the Border allow only men for our tournament and if any women want to play they could have a womens tournament. The players that I have talked with want to keep our tournament men ONLY. If any women want to play then we could put a womens tournament together, which may be a good idea. They women could go tee off before the men or what ever."

I happen to agree 100% - what do you guys think? Please use our discussion group to talk about this here.

Courses for 2007

I would like to hear your opinions on which courses to play this year. Richard and I have thought about maybe playing Birchbank and Christina Lake this year - what do you guys think?

By the way, we're practising hard - just look at Richard working on his mental game ;-)

Going Live!

Hi Fellow Battlers (or should I say "brawlers"), the site is finally going live, as I've added the most important bits and pieces. There's even a basic photo gallery of last year's event. Let me know via a comment if I've missed anything, or email me at frank@qfin.net.

We need to decide how exactly we're going to handle registration, e.g. should there be a deposit and/or fee involved, how do we decide on accepting or rejecting applicants, etc. Leave me a comment, or join the discussion group to have your say.

I will post to this blog regularly to keep everybody informed on the latest news regarding this year's event.
